NTV-NTVSpor to Broadcast Milli Takım's 2012-14 Qualifiers

Turkish football fans will be watching Milli Takım's UEFA EURO 2012 and 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on NTV & NTVSpor. The Turkish Football Federation organized the TV Rights Tender for the Milli Takım qualifiers on Monday morning. NTV won the tender for a sum of $33.2 million (with taxes). "We've taken an important step towards the future ten years of Turkish football," said TFF Vice-President Lütfi Arıboğan.

Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım recently gave an exclusive interview to Turkish newspaper Akşam and revealed the club's future plans. Yıldırım addressed several issues from transfers to stadium renovations; from the club's rising budget to this season's Turkcell Süper Lig campaign. "We will win the Championship this season and then we will transfer at least two or three superstars to Fenerbahçe," President Yıldırım said.

The Yellow Canaries missed an important chance to extend their lead at the top of the league standings, as Fenerbahçe was held to a 1-1 draw by Diyarbakırspor on Sunday night. After a goalless eighty minutes, it was really the last ten that marked the whole game. Turkey's Milli Takım has been drawn in UEFA EURO 2012 Qualifying Group A alongside familiar foes Germany and Belgium. Qualifiers will take place between September 2010 - October 2011. The Crescent Stars will also be playing against Austria, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan for a spot in the UEFA EURO 2012 finals which will be hosted in Poland & Ukraine.
