Although football fans have to wait another two weeks before they can find out which team wins the Turkcell Süper Lig, for now they can make do with knowing the five participants in next season's UEFA competitions. Title contenders Fenerbahçe and Bursaspor will be competing in the UEFA Champions League, while Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor will all go to the UEFA Europa League.

Two games that are scheduled for this Sunday have the potential to create a major impact on the title race. Kardemir Demir Çelik Karabükspor are back in Turkey's top league after eleven years. On Monday night, Karabükspor beat Black Sea rivals Çaykur Rizespor 3-0, to guarantee a top two spot finish in the Bank Asya 1. Lig and also secure promotion to the Turkcell Süper Lig next season. This will be Karabükspor's third participation in Turkey's top football league, where they were last relegated from in 1998/99.
