After tearing ligaments in his knee Thursday against Bursaspor, Fener midfielder Uğur Boral is set to undergo season-ending surgery next Wednesday.  The club issued a statement Friday regarding the medical status of the 27-year-old veteran winger.

Fenerbahçe midfielder Uğur Boral is scheduled to undergo surgery Wednesday on his knee, according to a statement issued by the club Friday.  The left winger tore his anterior cruciate ligament Thursday against Bursaspor and will miss the rest of the season.  The injury was confirmed by coach Christoph Daum shortly after Thursday's victory in the coach's press conference.

Uğur Boral's surgery will take place Wednesday at Acıbadem Hospital in Istanbul.  The midfielder is expected to be sidelined for at least four months and will miss the remainder of the season.

i have a feeling that daum is not well respected in Germany
Kozak • 06:23 • February 7, 2010
I don't know how much he is respected but people hate Koln for the absolutely boring style of play that was adopted from Daum. It keeps them in the Bundesliga so the fans won't complain though.
