Turkish football fans will be watching Milli Takım's UEFA EURO 2012 and 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on NTV & NTVSpor. The Turkish Football Federation organized the TV Rights Tender for the Milli Takım qualifiers on Monday morning. NTV won the tender for a sum of $33.2 million (with taxes). "We've taken an important step towards the future ten years of Turkish football," said TFF Vice-President Lütfi Arıboğan.

The Turkish Football Federation organized the TV Rights Tender for Milli Takım's UEFA EURO 2012 and 2014 FIFA World Cup group stage qualifying games at TFF's headquarters in İstinye, Istanbul on Monday morning. Only two networks competed in the open bidding, NTV and ATV, with NTV winning the tender for a sum of $33.2 million (with taxes).

TFF Vice-President Lütfi Arıboğan spoke after the tender proceedings and thanked NTV for their important contribution to Turkish football. "We've organized three very important tenders in the last six months and together with all the amounts we've collected, we've taken an important step towards the future ten years of Turkish football," said Arıboğan.

Just like the increase in TV & Media Rights for the Turkcell Süper Lig, there has also been an important amount of raise in TV Rights for the Milli Takım qualifiers. While the total TV Rights revenue from the UEFA EURO 2008 and 2010 FIFA World Cup group stage qualifying games was approx. $15 million, with an 87% increase it has now reached $28 million (without taxes).

"Whilst rapidly improving Turkish football in terms of professional management and sportive competition, we are also delighted to have created the necessary financial resources to support this transition," continued Lütfi Arıboğan. The TFF VP also revealed some new changes in the broadcast of Milli Takım's qualifying games.

Not only has the TV Rights for both Milli Takım's home and away games been given to the same network for the first time, but also TFF will be controlling the production of the broadcast; meaning better picture quality and no virtual and banner advertisements during the live broadcast of the games.

Arıboğan was lastly asked about when the TFF would be appointing the highly anticipated Milli Takım head coach. "Just with all of our work up until today, we're showing a lot of rigour, patience and hardwork in determining the next A Milli Takım manager. We ask the general public for a little more patience," said the TFF Vice-President. "All I can say is that the result will be very satisfactory for Turkey," he added.

The likelihood of Yilmaz Vural draws closer every day :( If no foreign manager wants to take place I hope Bulent Uygun offers himself.
