2010-2011 Süper Lig Fixtures Announced Wednesday

The fixtures for the 2010-2011 Süper Lig season were announced earlier today, and Fenerbahçe will open the season at home against Antalyaspor.  The season will get underway on August 15th, with the final weekend of matches being played on May 22nd, 2011.  The winter break will take place after the final matches on December 19th and resume again on January 23rd, 2011. 

The Süper Lig fixtures for the 2010-2011 season were announced earlier today at the Golden Horn Congress Center in Istanbul.  The new season gets underway August 15th with all 18 teams in action.  Fenerbahçe will open the season at home against Antalyaspor, and reigning champs Bursaspor will open at home against newly-promoted Konyaspor. 

League newcomers Karabükspor will open at home against Manisaspor, while Izmir side Bucaspor will make their 2010 Süper Lig debut against league powers Beşiktaş in Izmir.  Fenerbahçe travel to rivals Trabzonspor in week two, and they'll play their first derby in week five, the weekend of September 17th.  They'll host the Beşiktaş Black Eagles that weekend. 

The first edition of the world's biggest derby this season will take place in week nine, slated for the weekend of October 22nd, when Fenerbahçe will host Galatasaray.  The following week, they'll make the short trip to Bursa to take on reigning champions Bursaspor.  Fener will close out the first half of the season against Sivasspor just before the winter break.

Second half of the season has ALWAYS been the same as the first half. I hate how we always get to play the important derbies at home in the first half and away in the second half, after all the games in the second half are more important...

we really have a crappy fixture... the last few games of the season is going to be against team who'll be fighting to stay at the competition... and thats allways dangerous. and the first few games are against strong teams... but still we shouldnt be complaining.. ive never seen clubs like barcelona or inter complain about fixtures
