Rumour  •  Author: Mehmet Pozam   •   Thursday, July 22, 2010 Picture

In today's press scan, news reports from the Turkish and International press linking Fenerbahçe with transfer moves for Asamoah Gyan, Guillaume Hoarau, Bafétimbi Gomis, Robinho and others. Please note that Fenerbahçe Worldwide does not confirm any of the following transfer rumours.

The following transfer rumours were linked in Turkish and International media, although each is pure speculation unless the club issues an official statement. We do not hold any of the rumours to be truth.

Fenerbahçe Worldwide will publish one article of transfer rumours per day (as long as there is demand), and the list will be updated throughout the day as more are reported. Please check the article periodically for updates.

Asamoah Gyan (Rennes)
Striker - 24 years old
Sabah, RMC Radio, Vatan, Habertürk, Fanatik

According to Sabah, Gyan has told French sports radio RMC that he is currently on holiday and has to talk with Rennes officials before deciding on his future. While Vatan reports that Fenerbahçe have shook hands with Rennes for Gyan's transfer, the same report includes quotes from a representative of the French club stating they have no intentions of selling Asamoah Gyan to Fenerbahçe. Habetürk and Fanatik claim that negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs and the transfer can finalize in the next two days.

Guillaume Hoarau (Paris Saint-Germain)
Striker - 26 years old
Le Parisien Sabah, Habertürk, Fanatik

Meanwhile, various sources in the Turkish press cite a report in Le Parisien which suggests that Fenerbahçe have targeted Paris Saint-Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau. The Yellow Canaries are rumoured to have the 26-year-old goal scorer as a back-up for Asamoah Gyan and rumours are that they have already made the French club an offer. However, Bundesliga side Schalke 04 is also reported to be interested in the player.

Bafétimbi Gomis (Olympique Lyonnais)
Striker - 24 years old
Habertürk, Fanatik

Habertürk and Fanatik also rumour that Fener are keeping tabs on Olympique Lyonnais striker Bafétimbi Gomis. The Yellow Canaries have reportedly contacted officials from the French club and have received a positive response for the transfer. The French-born Senegalese striker netted the goal ten times last season for Olympique Lyonnais.

Robinho (Manchester City / Santos)
Striker / Winger - 26 years old
Sabah

Lastly, Turkish daily Sabah claims that Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş are bidding against each other for Manchester City star Robinho, currently on loan at Brazil's Santos. Rumours are that a representative for Fenerbahçe has met with Robinho's agent and has received a green light for the transfer. Istanbul rivals Beşiktaş have also been linked with the player and are said to be monitoring the situation very closely.

CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder / winger Miloš Krasić has also been linked with Fenerbahçe.

Disclaimer: Fenerbahçe Worldwide does not confirm any of the above rumours or state that they are anything else than mere speculation. Please wait for official announcements from the club management.

None of the names mentionned above are gonna happen...I beleive the player to leave this sumtmer is Guiza and the coming is Sercan Yildirim becuase Aykut said he will sign a young, fast and Turkish forward which is Sercan at the moment!
Kozak • 14:30 • July 22, 2010
Nah I reckon we're either going to get Gyan or nobody.
emre • 14:53 • July 22, 2010
Kozak and fener im gonna have to go against you there.
Sercan is good and is possible.
But if you actually look closely Robinho signalled that he wanted a move to Fenerbahce.

Its hard to think robinho in a BJK uniform because he commented on their 8-0 loss to Liverpool as "embarrasing".
its all up to Fenerbahce.

Same with Gyan.

Robinho is close to being signed more than Gyan.

The youngFAST TURKISH STRIKER could be mevlut erdinc

No way sercan will come, he will be in Bursasport because of champions league,

Robinho would be a good addtion to this team and so Bafétimbi Gomis the next drogoba in my opinion,

@fener: AY and AK just said that they are interested in young players and currently searching for a striker.. they did not mention the nationality.. if so, please give a source ;)
fener1907 • 15:31 • July 22, 2010
OzanFB i just read it on fanatik website:)
Kozak • 15:37 • July 22, 2010
Since when were we interested in Robinho :S:S:S
emre • 15:42 • July 22, 2010
Kozak O.O
We've been trying to sign him for the past 2 years.
since roberto carlos was with us.
remedy2000 • 15:44 • July 22, 2010
lol at the PRINCE AYKUT THE TRANSFER MAGICIAN. Don't trick yourself into thinking he actually manages the transfers himself. Any sane manager would be dumping Bilica and Guiza whilst building the back line with decent players and backups. Instead it's a goalkeeper, a defender from a crap team and constant rumours of ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS and STRIKERS.

FANTASTIC. BRAVO.
khoda • 15:54 • July 22, 2010
I hope Robinho is the special one!
Kozak • 15:54 • July 22, 2010
What..I never remember trying to sign him :|

I remember trying to sign Dinho and Fabiano :S
fb_fan • 15:56 • July 22, 2010
I hope for Robinho too!I am in love with his playstyle!Anyway, even we don't get a new striker i would like to see Guiza on the bench and Kazim upfront!GO FENER!
khoda • 16:00 • July 22, 2010
Guiza is not even worth sitting on the bench, Let him play with the A2 team untill he wakes up and become a man again.
mtHead • 16:22 • July 22, 2010
Here is another name that Fener should be all over it but it does not even make the rumor list. Boughera of Rangers and Algeria. Every game at the world cup, he was praised as the best defender yet his price tag is reasonable, however we don't hear anything about it.
Temirov123 • 16:38 • July 22, 2010
need a new centre back!!!
mtHead • 16:45 • July 22, 2010
he is a center back
remedy2000 • 16:51 • July 22, 2010
From what i saw of boughera in the world cup, he would be a great transfer that wouldnt cost the world either.
Kozak • 16:52 • July 22, 2010
Please do not bring Mevlut to Turkey!!!
Brazilian • 17:13 • July 22, 2010
Yeah, because no way sercen will leave bursaspor this season, He is playing with the league champions, He is in champions league and he has a good manager!

Guys remember, the best form of defense is ATTACK

if I understand well, we can't buy a extracommunity player because we have the maximum number of extracommunity players.
remedy2000 • 18:58 • July 22, 2010
From what i saw in the world cup of gyan, he is nothing special, maybe he plays better in club football. However for his club he has scored 14 goals in 50 games. So he gets just over a goal per every 5 games.

It says Fener is offering in the region of 13 million. With that sort of money Fener was able to buy spains top scorer, despite not performing. Surely we can get someone better.

Semih has a better overall record too for a player that spends most of his time on the bench.

In fact even Guiza has better club record for Fener with 22 goals in 65 games. So he kinda scores a goal every 3 games.
Midwinter • 21:16 • July 22, 2010
Hoarau or Gomis would definitely be far better transfers than Gyan... but I think those rumours are BS like most of them.
karaagclar • 21:24 • July 22, 2010
Fenerbahce offered Guiza to Getafe for 5 million euros but Getafe rejected it.. they want the striker in loan with a buy option..
ergin • 02:59 • July 23, 2010
Well if that's true then it sounds like Getafe are a smart club! ;-)
muratti • 11:01 • July 23, 2010
its hard to think Robinho will come to Turkey for anything besides vacation. However, if Robinho did come his speed along with the fast paced and deadly accurate Stoch would make a winning combination like Kaka and Ronaldo. But obviously not that great. Still amazing for the Turkey's Premier League.
